Last Supper Bible Story

October 11, 2013 by Admin-FSN Leave a Comment

last supper

Matthew 26:17-30; Mark 14:12-25; Luke 22:7-20

It was the first day of the Passover and Jesus’ disciples came to Him and said, “Where should we go and prepare the Passover Feast?”

Jesus answered, “Go into the city and you will met with a man carrying a pitcher. Follow the man into the house. Then say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says,’ I want to eat the Passover with My disciples at your place.’”

After that, he will show you a very spacious room at the upstairs where you will prepare the Passover.

The disciples went into the city and they met with a man that was carrying a pitcher just as Jesus told them and they prepared the Passover.

At this time, one of Jesus’ disciples called Judas Iscariot decided to betray Jesus.

So He went to the chief priests and said to them, “How much money you will pay me if I deliver Jesus into your hand.”

They replied, “We will give you thirty pieces of silver if you can help us to deliver Jesus into our hands.” From that moment, Judas began to look for opportunity to arrest Jesus.

At evening, Jesus arrived with His twelve disciples at that place. They say down to eat the last supper together.

Jesus said to His disciples, “This will be the last supper I will eat with you until the kingdom of God is fulfilled.”

Jesus took up the cup. He thank god for it and said, “Take this cup and divide it among yourselves. This cup is the new testament of my blood which is shed for you. I will not drink wine anymore until I come back a second time to the earth.”

In the same manner, Jesus took the bread. After Jesus thanked God for it and broke it, He divided it among His disciples and said, “This is my body which is given for you. Eat it in remembrance of me.”

As Jesus was eating, He said to his disciples,’ One of you will betray me. Woe to him who will betray me.’

Everyone began to feel sad and they began to asked Jesus, “Lord, is it I that will betray you?”

During Jesus was celebrating the last supper with His disciples, the disciples fought between themselves about who are the greatest.

So Jesus said to them, “Whoever that wants to be great must serve others first.”

Luke 8: 26 – 39

One time, Jesus and his disciples crossed over the sea to a place called Gadarenes.

When Jesus came out of the boat, a man who is possessed by the demons met Him.

The demon possessed man lived in the tombs. The people bound him in chains but the demon in him pulled them apart and the shackles were broken into pieces.

Every day and night, he would cry out and cut himself with stones in the mountains.

When the demon possessed man saw Jesus, he ran to Him and said, “What do you want with me, SON OF MOST HIGH God. Please don’t torture me because my time has not come yet.”

Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit in the demon possessed man.

Jesus said, “Come out of him, you unclean spirit. What is your name?”

The man replied, “My name is Legion because there are many of us. I begged you. Please don’t send us out into the country. Please send us into the pigs who are feeding nearby.”

At that time, there was a large herd of pigs that were feeding near the mountains.

So Jesus gave a command that they be sent into the swine herd that were feeding nearby.

When the demons came out of the demon possessed man, they entered the pigs herd.

All of a sudden, the large herd of pigs rushed violently down the steep bank of the river and drowned.

Those who feed the pigs saw what had happened and told everyone in the city about it.

They saw the demon possessed man whom Jesus had healed and he appeared to be completely sane.

The people were afraid and they begged Jesus and His disciples to leave their city.

As Jesus and His disciples got into a boat, the man who was once possessed by the demon begged Jesus to let him follow Him. Jesus did not allow him.

Jesus said to the man, “Go back home and tell the people how God had compassion on you and healed you.”

The man left Jesus and gave testimony about what God had done for him throughout Decapolis.

Matthew 27:32-56

The soldiers mocked Jesus, by stripping off his clothes and putting a scarlet robe on Him.

They made a crown of thorns and made Jesus wore it on his head. They also put a reed in Jesus’ right hand.

The soldiers made fun of Jesus and bowed down to Him, saying, “Hail, the King of Jews!”

Then the soldiers spat saliva on Jesus and took off the scarlet robe they put on Him.

After that, the soldiers took Jesus to the Place of Skull called Golgotha so that they can crucify Him.

Along the way, a man named Simon appeared. So they made Simon carry the cross on which Jesus will be crucified.

When they reached the Place of Skull called Golgotha, they gave Jesus some sour wine to drink.

After that, they nailed Jesus to the cross. They took away Jesus’ garments and divided His garments and then they cast lots among themselves.

There was a description on top of the cross which Jesus was crucified which is: KING OF THE JEWS.

Besides Jesus, two robbers were also crucified along with Jesus.

As the people passed by, they shook their heads and said, “If you say you can destroy the temple and built it up again in three days, come down from the cross and save yourself now.”

From 6 o’clock to 9 o’clock, there was darkness all over the land. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, saying, ” My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me.” (King James Version. Matthew 27:46)

A soldier ran and filled a sponge with vinegar and let Jesus drink it.

After Jesus tasted the vinegar, He cried out in a loud voice, saying, “I committed my Spirit into your hand, Father.” Then Jesus died.

At the very moment, the curtains of the temple were torn into two.

The earth shook violently and the rock split.

When the people saw the earth shook violently and the curtains torn into two, they said among them, “This must be the Son of God.”

A man named Joseph from Arimathea went to Pilate and asked him for the body of Jesus.

Pilate gave permission and Joseph wrapped Jesus in a linen cloth and laid Him in a tomb that he had hewn out himself.

jesusrisingintoheaven

Luke 24: 50-53; Acts 1:4-11

Before the Lord Jesus was ascended into heaven, He told the disciples not to leave Jerusalem but stay there for the Promise of the Holy Spirit to come on them.

The Lord Jesus said to His disciples, “You were baptized with water by John, the Baptist but the Holy Spirit will come on you a few days from now.

Go everywhere and preach the gospel to the people in all the places.

Everyone that believe and is baptized in the Holy Spirit, in the Father and in the Son will be saved.

My followers shall cast out demons and speak the tongue language.

If they are bitten by a poisonous snake, nothing will happen to them.

If they drink a poison, it will not hurt them. My followers shall lay their hands on the sick and they will be healed.”

After this, the Lord Jesus was taken into heaven. The Lord Jesus sat at the right hand side of God’s throne.

While the Lord Jesus was rising into the heaven, the disciples were looking.

While they were still looking above, an angel clad in white shinning clothes appeared and said to the disciples, “Why are you still looking?

Jesus will come back to the earth again in the same manner you see him rose into heaven. Go and preach the good news to the people.”

Then the disciples went out and preached the good news to the people.

The Lord Jesus was with the disciples, confirming the word they preached to the people with the miracles and wonders they performed.

Jesus and Samaritan Woman

October 11, 2013 by Admin-FSN Leave a Comment

jesusandsamaritanwoman

John 4:1-42

After the Pharisees heard that Jesus baptized more disciples than John, Jesus left for Galilee. But to make it to Galilee, Jesus had to go through Samaria.

Samaria was near to the place where Jacob used to live. The well that Jacob dug was there as well.

After Jesus reached Samaria, He sent His disciples away to buy food.

When it was six o’clock, a Samaritan woman came to drew water. Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, “Please let me have some water to drink.”

The Samaritan woman said, “Don’t you know that Samaritans hates the Hebrew people? Why did you ask a drink from me?

Jesus said, “If you know who I am, you would have ask me to give you the water of life which once you drink you will never feel thirsty anymore.”

The Samaritan woman said, “You don’t have anything to fetch water from the well so how can you give me the water of life?”

Jesus said, “Whoever who drinks the water of life that I give him will never feel thirsty and a fountain of life will spring up from within him.”

The Samaritan woman said, “I want this water of life. Please give me so that I may drink of it and never feel thirsty again.”

Jesus said, “Go now and call your husband to come here.”

The Samaritan woman said, “I am not married and so I have no husband.”

Jesus said, “You are not telling the truth. You have five husbands. The one whom you are spending the night with is not your husband.”

The Samaritan woman said, “I see that you are a prophet of God. We Samaritans worshipped our Gods in the mountains but you Hebrews worship in Jerusalem.”

Jesus said, “It will happen one day that you will neither have to worship God in the mountain or in Jerusalem. You worship Gods that you don’t know. The time will come when the true disciples of God will worship the Father in spirit and truth.”

The Samaritan woman said, “I know that the Messiah is coming.”

Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, “I am the Messiah.”

At this moment, Jesus’ disciples had returned from buying food. Jesus’ disciples wondered why Jesus talks to a Samaritan woman.

The Samaritan woman said, “This man prophesies everything that I did before in my life. Could he be the Christ?”

Jesus’ disciples said, “Come, let’s eat some food.”

Jesus replied, “I have food to eat that you don’t know. My food is doing the work my Father had sent me to do. ”

The Samaritan woman went back to her home and told everyone about Jesus.

The Samaritans believed what the Samaritan woman told them and they come to Jesus.

When the Samaritans came to Jesus, He preached to them for two days.

Bible Lesson on Jesus Cleansing the Temple

October 11, 2013 by Admin-FSN Leave a Comment

biblelessononjesuscleansingthetemple

Mark 11:15-19

When the Passover was around the corner, Jesus traveled down to Jerusalem.

When Jesus entered the temple, He saw many people were buying and selling animals including sheep, oxen and doves, and the money changers were doing business there as well.

Jesus grew angry. He made a whip from cords and He started to chase the people who are selling in the temples out.

Jesus poured out the money of the moneychangers and overturned the tables they used for changing money.

Jesus said to those who are selling doves in the temple, “Take these things away because this is the House of God. Don’t make the temple a place where you can sell your merchandise!”

And He pointed out the Scripture,

” It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.” (King James Version. Luke 19:16)

The Jews said to Jesus, “What sign can you show to us as proof since you are doing these things?”

Jesus replied, “Tear down this temple in 3 days and I will be rebuild it in 3 days.”

The Jews said to Him, “It took 46 years to build this temple, and you can rebuild it in just 3 days?”

Jesus was talking about His preeminent death on the cross and resurrection after 3 days.

After Jesus had died on the cross and risen on the third day, His disciples remembered what Jesus said.

Jesus taught in the temple every day.

The chief priests, the scribes and the leader of the Jews were jealous of Him and made plans to kill Him.

But they couldn’t do anything to Jesus; because the people paid attention to what Jesus said and listened to Him.
