Jesus Heals the Bleeding Woman

A ruler of the synagogue whom daughter had just died came to Jesus.

The ruler worshipped Jesus and said, “My daughter is dead. Please come and lay your hand on her so that she may be alive.”

Jesus quickly arose with His disciples and went along with the ruler to his house.
A woman who has been bleeding for twelve years saw Jesus and said to herself, “If I could just touch the edge of Jesus’ garment, I will be healed completely from this bleeding.”

So the woman went and touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and she was instantly made well.
Jesus felt that power had gone out of Him and He said, “Who touched Me?”

The woman was very afraid, and knowing that she was healed, she fell down before Jesus and told Him the whole truth.

Jesus said to the woman, “Be of good cheers, daughter. Your faith had made you well.”
When Jesus and his disciples reached the ruler of the synagogue’s house, the crowd was very noisy.

There was a great commotion of people weeping and playing flutes because the girl is dead.
Jesus said to them, “The girl is not dead but she is sleeping.”
Jesus put everyone outside of the house but He took the girl’s father and mother and His three disciples, Peter, James and John with him into the house.

Jesus took the girl by the hand and said,”Talita, cumi” which means, “Little girl, get up.”

The girl woke up and she was well. Then Jesus commanded the girl’s father and mother to give her some food to eat. The girl was twelve years old.

Bible Story of the Prodigal Son

One day, Jesus tells a story to the crowd.
He said, “Once upon a time, there was a man who has two sons. The younger son said to his father,’ Father, please give me my inheritance now.’ So his father divided his possessions between his two sons.
The younger son accumulated all his possessions. Then he bade goodbye to his father and set out for a foreign country. When he reached the foreign country, he spent all his money until nothing is left.
At that time, there is a great famine in the foreign country. He has no money to buy food. So he went to work at a farm in which he was offered a job to feed the pigs at the field. He was very hungry. He would even eat the rotten foods that the pig eats.
Then he remembers how many of his father’s servants who are hungry and have food to eat now. So he quits his job. And he took a long journey and traveled back home.
When his father saw him, he ran and kissed his son. He said to his servant,’ Put a ring on my son’s hand and give him sandals to wear.’

Then he slaughtered a fat cow and holds a feast to celebrate the coming back of his son.
When his older son saw the feast and everything, he grew very jealous about it.

He said to his father,’ I work for you for so many years and you did not even slaughter fat cattle for me.’

But his father said to him,’ Son, don’t be angry. Your brother was lost and is found so we should celebrate and be happy over it.’

Dorcas Bible Story

There was a faithful woman called Dorcas who lived in Joppa. Dorcas loves to help the needy people. One day, Dorcas fell very ill and she died.
The people washed Dorcas’ body and lay it on a bed at the room upstairs. At the time of Dorcas’ death, Peter was at a place named Lydda which is very near to Joppa.
When the people heard that Peter was at Joppa, they sent two men to Peter to tell him to hurry up and come quickly to Dorcas so that Peter could bring Dorcas back to life.

Peter followed them and they brought him to the room upstairs where Dorcas’ body was laid.
Many widows were there crying over the death of Dorcas.

They stood by Peter and showed him all the clothes that Dorcas had made while she was still alive. Peter sent all the people out of the room.
He knelt down on the floor and prayed to the Lord. Then Peter said, “Dorcas, get up.”

At that moment, Dorcas started to breathe again. Her eyes opened.

When Dorcas saw Peter, she sat up on the bed. Peter lifted Dorcas up. He called all the widows and the saints and he showed her alive to them.
The news that Peter raised Dorcas from the dead was spread throughout Joppa and many people heard about it.

They believed in Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as their Savior. So Peter stayed there for many days with a man named Simon, the Tanner.

The Story of Jesus’ Birth for Children (King James Version)

October 11, 2013 by Admin-FSN Leave a Comment

JesusBirth

During those days, the Roman emperor, Caesar Augustus gave out a decree that everyone should go back to their home town and be registered.

Joseph was from the lineage of King David. So Joseph and Mary set out for Bethlehem. While they were there, Mary gave birth to the baby.

Every inn was packed with guests and there was no more room left for them. So Joseph and Mary went to spend the night at a stable.

Mary delivered the baby at the stable and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger.

That night, some shepherds were out in the field looking after their flock.

All of a sudden, an angel stood before the shepherds. The glory of the Lord shone all over the shepherds and they were very afraid.

The angel said, “Don’t be afraid. I have come to bring you the good news that the Savior is born in the Bethlehem.” Then a host of angel appeared to them, and said,

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (King James Version. Luke 2:14)

After the angels were gone, the shepherds decided to go and see the baby Jesus. They made haste to Bethlehem and found the baby lying in a manger with his mother, Mary.

After that, the shepherds went back praising God and told everyone about the good news.

Everyone who heard the good news from the shepherds marveled with one another. But Mary kept all these to herself.

Matthew 2:13-15

At night, an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream.

The angel said, “Take the child, and his mother and flee to Egypt because King Herod is looking for the child and wants to kill him. Stay in Egypt until I give you instruction on what to do next.”

So Joseph woke up early in the morning, and he took Mary and the baby Jesus and fled to Egypt.

When King Herod saw that the three wise men did not come back to him, he was very angry.

He gave a command throughout his kingdom that all male babies two years old and under should be put to death in Bethlehem and all its districts.

The Roman soldiers went into Bethlehem and all its districts and killed every infant boy two years old and younger.

And there was weeping everywhere in Bethlehem because their babies are no more.

After King Herod died, the angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, “King Herod and everyone who is seeking the child to kill him are dead now. You may return to the land of Israel.”

So Joseph and Mary took the child Jesus and went back to the land of Israel.

However, when Joseph heard that Archelaus the son of King Herod is reigning over Judea, he was scared to go there.

After Joseph was warned in a dream, he turned into the city Galilee and settled down in the town of Nazareth.

And so it fulfilled the Word of God that Jesus shall be called a Nazarene.

presentationofbabyjesusatthetemple

Luke 2:21-40

After baby Jesus was born, Joseph and Mary brought Him to the temple to be circumcised according to Moses’ Law.

When eight days were completed, Joseph and Mary presented baby Jesus to God. They offered two young pigeons as a sacrifice offering to God.

At that time, there was a man called Simeon. Simeon is a faithful and devout follower of God.

God promised Simeon that before his death, he will see the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit was upon Simeon and it led Simeon to the temple where Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus was.

When Joseph and Mary brought baby Jesus into the temple, Simeon was there. When Simeon saw the baby, he felt very happy. He lifted up his arm and praised God.

Joseph and Mary wondered about the baby Jesus. Then Simeon blessed the baby, saying, “God blessed this child. He will cause the rising and fall of many nations.”

There was a prophetess named Anna who lived at the temple. Anna is a widow of eighty four years old. She had been fasting and praying in the temple day and night.

When Anna came into the temple, she saw baby Jesus there and gave thanks to God. Then she talked about Him to all those who are looking forward to the redemption.

After Joseph and Mary had done all the things required by the Law for a newborn baby, they returned to their home in Nazareth in Galilee.

Jesus became stronger and stronger in spirit and wiser and wiser as He grows up.
