The wooden man and the serpentOne cold winter day, a woodman was coming back home from cutting woods in the forest when he saw a serpent that appeared to be dead was lying in the snow.

The woodman sympathized on the serpent and so he put it in his bosom to warm and carry it home.

As soon as the woodman reaches home, he lay the serpent before the fireplace. The children watched the serpent and it slowly revived as it was warmed.

One of the farmer’s children squatted down to pat the snake. But the serpent lifted its head and was about to bite him when the woodman raised his axe and chopped the serpent into two.

The woodman says, “You will never get anything good returns from a good done to a wicked one.”

The hares are being hunted in the forests by other animals and they don’t know where they should go.

Whenever they see any animal that come near them, they would be panic and run off to a hiding place.

One day, the hares saw a group of horses running about. The hares were so scared and upset about it that they decide to drown themselves by the lake rather than living in fear every day.

Just as they were about to go down into the river and drown themselves, the frogs came rushing into the lake and were drowned.

The hares said, “We should not drown ourselves. Things aren’t as bad as they look.”

There is always someone who have bigger problem than the problem we are having.

One day, a man who lives in the country side saw that the mountain is in labor because the mountain was giving out smokes from the top and the earth is shaking so violently.

The people is sure that something very bad is going to happen to the mountain so they gathered together to see what disaster will befall on the mountain. After they wait for a long while, nothing happen.

Finally, there is a little earthquake. The people bow down their head towards the mountains.

Then a little mouse poke out its head from the top of the mountain and says, “A lot of show offs but no outcome.”

One day, a farmer was busy sowing some hemp seeds. The birds saw the hemp seeds and they began to peck the hemp seeds up for food.

When the swallow sees this, it advised the other birds, “Be careful of that farmer who is sowing the seeds.”

The birds asked, “Why? What is the matter?”

The swallow answered, “The seeds that the farmer is sowing is hemp seed. Make sure you peck up every single one of the seed or you will regret it.”

The birds did not pay attention to what the swallows said. The hemp seeds that were not eaten by the birds grew up to become a hemp plant. The farmer used the hemp plant to make cords and then nets. Then he uses the nets to trap the birds.

The birds that were caught regretted that they didn’t listen to the advice of swallow.

You must destroy the evil seed in you, or it will be your downfall.

One day, a farmer went to his stables to see how his ass is doing. The farmer loves his ass because the ass always helps him to carry things.

The farmer came with his lapdog that loves to prance about happily and licks him.

The farmer felt some dog treat in his pocket and gave it to the lapdog. Then he sat down on a chair to give commands to his servants.

The lapdog is so happy that he jumped onto the lap of his master. When the ass saw that the lapdog jumped on the master, it tries to imitate it.

So the ass breaks free from his halter and jump on the farmer. When the servants of the farmer saw what the ass is doing, they took the sticks and beat the ass.

Don’t be proud and make foolish mistakes.

An old lion lay sick in his den and he was about to die. The subjects of the lion, the animals in the jungle knew the lion, their king is dying came to his den and surrounded him.

When they saw the sick lion is gasping for breath and dying, they decide to bully him and revenge on what he had done to them. The Wild Boar came and drove its tusk against it; The bull gored the sick lion with its horns; the donkey came and kicked his heels toward the lion’s face.

The lion feels pain all over his body but he couldn’t get up and attack them back. The lion growled, “This is a double death for me.”

Cowards is strong when the majesty is weak.
