Last Supper Bible

It was the first day of the Passover and Jesus’ disciples came to Him and said, “Where should we go and prepare the Passover Feast?”

Jesus answered, “Go into the city and you will met with a man carrying a pitcher. Follow the man into the house. Then say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says,’ I want to eat the Passover with My disciples at your place.’”

After that, he will show you a very spacious room at the upstairs where you will prepare the Passover.

The disciples went into the city and they met with a man that was carrying a pitcher just as Jesus told them and they prepared the Passover.

At this time, one of Jesus’ disciples called Judas Iscariot decided to betray Jesus.

So He went to the chief priests and said to them, “How much money you will pay me if I deliver Jesus into your hand.”

They replied, “We will give you thirty pieces of silver if you can help us to deliver Jesus into our hands.” From that moment, Judas began to look for opportunity to arrest Jesus.

At evening, Jesus arrived with His twelve disciples at that place. They say down to eat the last supper together.

Jesus said to His disciples, “This will be the last supper I will eat with you until the kingdom of God is fulfilled.”

Jesus took up the cup. He thank god for it and said, “Take this cup and divide it among yourselves. This cup is the new testament of my blood which is shed for you. I will not drink wine anymore until I come back a second time to the earth.”

In the same manner, Jesus took the bread. After Jesus thanked God for it and broke it, He divided it among His disciples and said, “This is my body which is given for you. Eat it in remembrance of me.”

As Jesus was eating, He said to his disciples,’ One of you will betray me. Woe to him who will betray me.’

Everyone began to feel sad and they began to asked Jesus, “Lord, is it I that will betray you?”

During Jesus was celebrating the last supper with His disciples, the disciples fought between themselves about who are the greatest.

So Jesus said to them, “Whoever that wants to be great must serve others first.”last-supper-bible

Palm Sunday Bible Story

When Jesus had come near to the city of Bethpage and Bethany and was at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent His disciples into the city.

Jesus said to His disciples, “Go into the village and you will find a donkey with its colt of which no one had sat on them before. Untie the donkey and its colt and bring them to me. If anyone ask you why you are untying the donkey, tell them,’The Lord needs it.’ and they will quickly bring the donkey and its colt here.”
The disciples did as Jesus commanded them. They entered the village and found a donkey along with its colt which had never been sat before. The disciples loosen and untied the donkey and the colt.

Someone asked them, “Why are you untying the donkey and the colt?”

The disciples replied, “The Lord needs it.” So the people let them take the donkey and the colt to Jesus.
After the disciples had brought the donkey and its colt, they lay their clothes on the donkey so that Jesus could sit on it.

Others had cut down leafy branches and lay them down on the road for Jesus.
As Jesus was entering Jerusalem, the crowd that went before Jesus said, “Hosanna in the Highest to the Lord, the son of David! Blessed is the kingdom of God that comes in the name of the Lord!”
Jesus went into the temple and looked around. Then he retreated to Bethany with His twelve disciples.

Mary and Martha Bible Story

October 5, 2013 by Admin-FSN Leave a Comment

maryandmarthabiblestory

Jesus was entering a village when Jesus’ mother, Mary and Mary’s sister, Martha came to welcome Him into her house. Mary and Martha are different.

Mary loves to sit down beside Jesus’ feet and listened to Him preach. Martha loves to serve the Lord. Martha is distracted with busy sweeping the floor, preparing food for the guests, and serving the Lord.

Jesus began to preach at Martha’s home and Mary sat down at Jesus’ feet to listen to what He said. But Martha was busy serving the Lord because of so many guests.

Mary was cooking the meals for Jesus’ disciples and welcoming the guests. And she didn’t care about coming to listen to what Jesus was preaching.

Martha was unhappy that she was left with so many works to do and her sister, Mary didn’t come and help her.

So Martha said to Jesus, “Why didn’t you care that Mary didn’t help me with all the work and let me serve alone.”

Jesus answered, “Martha, you are busy serving the Lord but there is one best part that you forgot, that is to just sit down and listen me preaching just like Mary.”

Martha was busy supplying all the needs for her guests but Mary had chosen the best part which is the holy word, and faith of Jesus Christ which will never be taken away from her.

There is nothing wrong to serve the Lord efficiently but it must not come in the way of the more important things in life. This is because it can create a problem for us.[audio mp3=”https://www.free-stories.net/wp-

Children’s Bible Story – Jesus Calms the Sea

October 5, 2013 by Admin-FSN Leave a Comment

Jesus Calming the Sea Mark 4:37-39

Once, Jesus got into a boat with His twelve disciples.

Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us get into a boat and cross to the other side of the lake.” And so they put out the sail boat and started sailing on the lake.

Jesus felt very tired and he fell asleep in the boat. Suddenly a strong wind blew and a severe wind storm swept through the lake.

The violent winds caused the water of the lake to rise up in high waves.

The waves from the lake broke into the boat and the boat began to be filled with water.

When Jesus’ disciples realized that they were sinking, they were very afraid and panicked.

The disciples don’t know what to do so they quickly went to wake Jesus up to help them to calm the wind storm.

They came to Jesus and said, “Master! Master! There is a windstorm and water is coming into our boat. Our boat is sinking and we will soon drown.”

Jesus who was asleep at that time was aroused by the disciples and He woke up.

Jesus purposely slept through the storm because He wanted to test the faith of His disciples.

Jesus said to the disciples, “Why are you fearful of the windstorm? Don’t you have faith?”

Then Jesus rebuked the wind, saying, “Be still.” And the wind immediately calm down.

The disciples marveled among themselves and say to one another, “Who can this be? He commanded the winds to calm down and they obey Him.”

After that, they arrived at the country Gadarenes which is opposite of Galilee.

Paul Arrested in Jerusalem

October 5, 2013 by Admin-FSN 2 Comments

paularrestedinjerusalem

While Paul was at Jerusalem, he reported to the people all the things that God had done through him in the Gentiles.

When the people heard him, they praised God.

Then they said to him, “There are many Jews who had accepted Jesus Christ at Jerusalem.

But they heard you preaching that the Jews should not follow Moses’ law anymore.

So now we have four purified men with here. Take them with you into the temple and get circumcised.”

Paul listened to what they said and he took the four men into the temple and was circumcised.

While Paul was there, some Jews from Asia saw him and they stirred up the people against him.

The people came all together and rushed over to Paul and pulled him out of the temple. Then they brought Paul to the commander of the garrison.

There was such a big riot in Jerusalem. The soldiers ran toward Paul and the people stopped beating Paul.

The commander came over and have Paul chained. Then he asked Paul what crime have he committed.

Half of the crowd shouted one thing while the other half of the crowd shouted another thing.

The commander commanded that Paul be taken into the barracks. The soldier had to carry Paul because the uproar was so great.

After Paul got inside the barracks, he asked the commander to let him speak to the people and he gave him permission.

Paul motioned his hand to the people and they became quiet.

Then Paul said to them, “I am a Jew and I was born in Tarsus. I was taught by Gamaliel the law of our ancestors and was very enthusiastic in it. I had persecuted Christian men and women. I put them in prisons and also kill them.

But one day, while I was on the way to Damascus, a light shone on me and I heard God calling me.

At that moment, I was convicted. After that, my eyes couldn’t see and I was led into Damascus. A man named Ananias laid his hands over my eyes and I can see again.

Ananias said to me, ‘God had chosen you to know His will and to become a witness to everyone of what you have seen and heard.’

Now, when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, God said to me,’ Get up and leave Jerusalem now.’

But I said, ‘Lord, they know that I used to persecute the Christians. And when Stephen was dead, I was there to witness his death.'”

The people refused to listen to Paul anymore and they shouted all together, “Kill Paul. He does not deserve to live!”

Then the soldiers took Paul into the barracks again.

Jonah Bible Story

September 29, 2012 by Admin-FSN 1 Comment

There once lived a man named Jonah. One day, God said to Jonah, “Go to Nineveh and tell the people to repent from their sin or I will destroy their city in forty days.”

Jonah doesn’t want the people of Nineveh to repent from their sins so he decided to run away from the Lord.

Jonah went to the sea harbor at Joppa and bought a ship ticket to Spain.

Then Jonah went aboard the ship and was on his way to Spain.

God was not happy that Jonah did not obey His command to go to Nineveh so He blew a strong wind against the ship.

The storm was so severe that the sailors on the ship started praying to their gods.

They also throw the cargos on their ship into the sea so that the ship will be lighter.

Jonah was not aware of the bad storm because he fell asleep below the ship deck.

The ship’s captain went to Jonah and said, “How can you sleep when there is such a bad storm? Get up and pray to your God to stop the storm.”

The sailors finally decide to cast lots to ask their gods who had caused all these bad storms. They cast the lots and the lot fell on Jonah.

So the sailors came to Jonah and said, “Are you the one who brought this bad storm to us? What is your nationality? What is your job?”

Jonah replied, “I worship the Lord God Almighty who created the skies and the seas. I disobeyed the Lord and am escaping from him to Spain.”

The sailors said, “What should we do so that the storms will calm down?”

Jonah replied, “Throw me into the sea and the bad storms will be no more.”

So the sailors throw Jonah into the sea and a giant fish came and swallowed Jonah. Jonah stayed in the giant fish for three days.

While Jonah was inside the giant fish, he prayed to God and asked Him to forgive his disobedience. God listened to Jonah’s prayer and forgave Jonah.

Then, God commanded the giant fish to spit Jonah out of its mouth. The giant fish obeyed God and spat Jonah out onto the shore.

God said to Jonah, “Go to Nineveh and preach the message of repentance to everyone there.”

Jonah obeyed God this time. He went to Nineveh and warned the people that if they do not repent from their sins, God will destroy Nineveh in 40 days.

Everyone who heard Jonah’s message became sad. They fasted and wore sackcloth to show their sorrow.

The King of Nineveh also heard Jonah’s message and dressed himself in sackcloth.

Then he sent his officials to send out an order for everyone that everyone including the people and their animals must fast and wear sackcloth; that they must all pray to God to forgive their sins so that God will have mercy on them and not destroy Nineveh.

The people of Nineveh stop doing sinful things and so God forgave them and never destroy Nineveh.

Jonah was disappointed that the people of Nineveh repented from their sins so that God never destroy Nineveh. Jonah hated the Nineveh because Nineveh is an enemy to Israel.

Jonah left the city and built a shelter for himself to protect against the sun.

God made a vine plant to grow up to protect Jonah from the sun.

Jonah was very happy that he had a vine as a shelter but God sent worms to eat the vine plant.

The vine plant became scorched and Jonah felt faint because the sun was beating on him.

Jonah was very angry and he cried out, “Let me die now!”

God said to Jonah. “You only care about the vine that grows up today and died the next day. But Nineveh has more than 120,000 people that don’t know what is right and what is wrong. Shouldn’t I care about the city?”
